Partners for Your Oral Systemic Health

As a founding member of the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health (AAOSH), I have a proactive philosophy for prevention of disease. AAOSH is an organization composed of health care providers and dentists who are dedicated to helping people enjoy high quality of live through optimal oral and overall health.

AAOSH doctors are dedicated to improving their health. AAOSH doctors firmly believe that the mouth is the portal to the body and therefore an important part of healthy living. Studies show that poor oral health is a contributing factor to heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes. Oral health problems are also linked to Alzheimer’s, arthritis, pneumonia, and pregnancy complications. By understanding how oral bacteria and disease attack the mouth, then the body, doctors like myself, can work with patients to improve potential for healthy mouths and bodies.

AAOSH doctors are passionate in their vision to educate medical and dental professionals on the mouth-body connection.  We want to bridge the gap in healthcare to benefit millions of people worldwide, and allow them to live longer, happier, healthier lives. Putting people first is AAOSH’s main goal.

When you visit your medical physician, it’s a great idea to have them share the results of your blood tests with your dentist, as often there may be things that we can also advise you on to improve your overall health, or help prevent potential problems in the future. Be sure to lets us know when you change medications or start new ones as well!

As a founding member of AAOSH, it is my passion to help you live a happier, healthier, longer life. If you need a six-month checkup and cleaning, or have avoided dental visits for years, there’s no time like today to set off on a path to better health, call me, Dr. Randy LaFrom, in Cupertino, CA.  My Cupertino dental office serves patients from San Jose, CA and surrounding communities.
