Create Healthy Habits Now for Your Kids

When we speak of pediatric dentistry (or pedodontics), we are referring to treating children (generally considered) age 14 and under. Children do have some special needs in the area of orthodontics and dealing with a mixture of both “baby” and “adult” teeth. We do treat most children but if a child is apprehensive about dental care, or has a unique or complex situation then we will refer the child to a Pediatric Dental Specialist.

Remember, children are not just small adults. They are not always able to be patient and cooperative during a dental exam and it is important to treat them in ways that make them comfortable.

What types of treatments do we provide children?

  1. Infant oral health exams
  2. Preventive dental care including cleaning and fluoride treatments
  3. Early assessment and treatment for straightening of teeth and correcting an improper bite
  4. Repair of tooth cavities or defects
  5. Management of gum diseases
  6. Care for dental injuries
